I love my WS-5000 weather station. It's been functional for about a month now and things seem to be working properly. I am very thankful that the instruction manual was in printed form and included in the box. It would have been difficult if instructions were only on the internet...so many companies are going that direction today. Initially, I just glanced through the manual...I was overwhelmed. However, by following the "Quick Start" instructions, the process was quite easy. Thank you Ambient.

Shipping was very quick. Instructions were tricky but easy to follow.

Outstanding products and exceptional support from the customer service team! I'm eager to witness the evolution of their mobile application in the direction of enhanced social media integration. It would be fantastic to have the ability to post my weather updates on platforms like X, Facebook, Threads, etc. Fingers crossed it's on the horizon.

Thank you for your service.

Wish the screen had been larger but does the job. Sensors are in refrigerators and freezers, greenhouse and metal garage/shop they are about 60 feet away from the unit and read just fine.

Installation, setup, WiFi connection, Android app, all work well and was very easy to install. There is lots of information presented in a reasonable format. I'm enjoying it now that it's running. I did find the documentation for questions beyond the normal setup to be a little confusing. For example, it turns out this unit (I assume it's the software) does not work with Google Home. It took me lots of searching and digging to find that note, buried in the website. I suspect the product development is getting a little ahead of the documentation. That wouldn't stop me form buying it again.

I love our weather station also much I bought 2 weather windows. I sent off a customer service ticket and heard back the next day asking for pictures of the issue. I have now replied twice with the information they requested and have not heard back. It has been 4 days now.
The 2 Ws-5000 stations I own are great and accurate.
I just wish I could get my other issues solved.

The unit is working great. Love that I can access the weather at my house through the app.

The WS2902D owner’s manual needs improvement. I provide this feedback in the hopes an improved manual will help avoid frustration for future owners of this weather station.
The very first screen that comes up when connecting the console to Wi-Fi is the admin login screen. Section 9.1.1 in the manual doesn’t show or address this screen which asks for a password. It would be helpful to show a screenshot and to tell the new owner to simply hit enter without entering a password.
I had trouble getting the sensor array readings to show up on the console despite following the manual’s instructions. The solution for me was hidden in section 16, by holding the light/snooze button for 5 seconds. It would have been VERY helpful for this information to also appear in section 25 Troubleshooting since NOTHING in the troubleshooting section solved my problem.
Section 21, Live Internet Publishing, needs improvement! It states “The WS_2902D sends data to three free hosting serves” but then only addresses one service, not three, the Ambient Weather Network. The frustrated new owner wanting to publish on Weather Underground is left without any instructions on how to publish to Weather Underground (WU) despite a WU button showing up on the screenshot in section 11. The manual should show the steps and screenshots to publish to WU.
Hopefully these suggestions to improve the manual will help future owners.

I bought the AW5000 system after my Davis Instruments station succumbed to the elements. This station is so much better. Better display. Easier setup. Cheaper. No moving parts. Just buy one, you won’t regret it.

This is a very sturdy base. It is reasonably priced and it was fast shipping.
I wish I would have bought this sooner.

Works well. Nice to be able to know what’s going on at my house while I’m traveling. Some of the setup instructions we not the easiest to follow but there are you tube videos to help make things a lot more understandable. Happy I got this product and I am very satisfied.

Working fine

Works as advertised.

Awesome to be able to see moisture in soil for both my garden and fruit trees. One worked right out of the box, the other I needed to calibrate by following the instructions. Will buy more!

Good features, very good wireless transmission distance, extremely long battery life. A good bang for the buck.

installed and ready to go. should keep me one step ahead of a bigger problem

Easy setup and perfect connection to my old monitor
