Customer service was good, ordering was easy, delivery was quick and when the replacement unit was plugged in - everything worked like new! Problem solved. Thanks Ambient!

Do not have time to provide a complete review for this product, but will in the near future. At this time all I can say there are more positives than negative values. I did notice whenever console power is interrupted I have to reset the rain senor (Haptic senor) from the default on startup. I'm a bit surprise this could not be the default (Haptic senor) on startup.

the customer service was spot on - this is what i needed to fix my weather station - thank You

Easy to install.

After spending years with an older ambient weather station that had stopped sending wind speed, I opted for WS-5000, specifically because I was drawn to the ultrasonic wind sensing and presumed better communication between the sending units and console of a newer unit. After buying badly from ambient’s website (NOT a fan) the support staff straightened me out with wonderful support. Kudos to them. As for the machine, I’m delighted to report that my experience with the ultrasonic wind sensing and the communication has been great. My readings jive with other stations that are fairly close and the historical data from my previous station. What was completely unexpected was the improvements in the console. My previous station had a larger screen and more buttons than a Steinway. I could spend time searching for exactly what I wanted even after years of looking at that screen. And looking at alternate data involved searching for the appropriate ill-labeled button whose location I had, of course, forgotten. The WS-5000 screen is smaller, much more logically organized and presents exactly what you want to know at a glance. And their scheme for labeling buttons based on where you are in your use of the machine is brilliant. This new console has dramatically improved my relationship with the weather station. So now I’m happy with wind info not dependent on whirly things that wear and general knowledge of conditions at a glance. I have set history reporting to every 2 hours so I can see a full day on one page of the history and review the day’s weather history at a glance, or any day for that matter. It’s just an altogether satisfying piece of technology, and I highly recommend it.

Fixed the problem

I found the setup to be very straightforward. Some reviewers found it difficult, but it seemed to me to be as clear as installing any recent computer program. It connected immediately, remains in strong contact 200 ft. away from the base. My only negative comment is the size of the display. My hope was to hang it on the wall and have it readable from anywhere in the living room, but it really is looking at an i-Pad size display that has a lot of information, much of which is not legible beyond about 3 feet.

The right part at the right time.

Love this company! Replacement parts are easy to find and even easier to install.

aa

My temp sensor stopped working after 5 years of dedicated service. This replacement part saved me from a $300 station replacement and worked like a charm.

The adapter is great. I wish it was easier to connect the weather station to my wifi. I always manage to do this stuff myself but frankly, yours instructions are not clear to me - or easy. I have to have someone come and figure this out for me. Ridiculous.

Outside Temperature Gauge Replacement part arrived within a few days...the temperature gauge easy to install! Highly recommend Ambient weather.

works great!

It was easy to install and now I don’t have birds clogging up my rain monitor , I would definitely recommend it.

Why do you keep asking me to do this? It is very annoying

After a storm took out my outdoor weather array, It took just a min to reconnect a new one to my system, and I'm back up and running.

My rain gauge funnel was blown away in a recent storm, and along with it went the bird spikes. I had the old one for over five years, and never any sign of bird nests or bird poop interfering with its function, so when I replaced the funnel (yay for replacement parts!) I naturally got the bird spikes too.

Easy install and is working great

As always, Ambient delivers quality products and service!
