I purchased an Ambient WS-4000 weather station to replace a 2 1/2 YO WS-2902C model. I needed a Weather Station with minimum moving parts as it will be used on a boat house in SW Louisiana where the weather can really be severe at times. The 2902 's temperature stopped working after 6 months and Ambient would not replace it without a long list of trouble shooting steps that became very tiresome to do over and over again.
The WS-4000 was a pretty easy setup with the console that I recommend, as Ambient doew, to set up outside near the console so that all signals are strong and syncing steps can be executed with ease. After 1 day from mounting the weather station at its working location, everything appears to be working as it should. My fingers are crossed anyway.

My old station (WS - 5000) died to to old batteries leaking.
Top tip: use lithium AAs as they don't have the same aging problems as alkaline batteries. I was able to order a replacement, but it wouldn't link up with the indoor display. I called customer support, and was able to talk to a nice human and he fixed me up right away by resetting the system.

The shipment arrival was good and timely. The Ambient WS-2902-D model appears to be well built. I had a little issue of getting it to connect with my WiFi but I think my router wasn't working correctly with the 2.5GB speed. The manual is well written. After a month of operation I am well pleased with the unit.

I experienced some technical problems when trying to check out so was required to start over twice. Support staff was very helpful.

You get to speak with real people, not AI and not outsourced triage people who know nothing. Very helpful and they do what they say.

Everythhing was quick and very accurate. This was my third weather station, the first was damaged in a move, the second was hit by lightning and the third is on the pole.
