I broke the mount for my wind instrument, I was able to find a replacement and get my station operational again. I felt finding the mount was a little laborious on the website, but I found it.

Ambient supports their core products by stocking replacement parts, well described and easily matched to the core product. All products' documentation on site as pdfs. I need to climb a tower to replace batteries - excellent to know in advance what to have in my pocket and how to open battery storage area. WS-5000 has worked reliably for years - exactly what I hoped for. I don't usually write up an A+ rating but this outfit earned it. Would love to have app provide climate trends over years and comparisons of my micro-climate to general area on other nearby stations. Is my site windier? Wetter? Cooler than others in my tri-county area? But they didn't advertise it so I can't ding them. That would be an easy app upgrade and I hope they work on providing better trend tools.

I wanted to select the most appropriate model for limitations where it would be used. i.e. local data storage vs and / or internet availability and other clarifications etc. One of their representatives answered all my questions, helping me make an informed decision.
I made my purchase through Amazon. However, in hindsight I should have ordered it from A W directly. There was not the availability to order a bird spike kit on line and ended up going through A W directly. As for the delivery, I am not knocking Amazon or others but the deliver became difficult as it was passed off to USPS who has their own deliver location policies, inconveniencing the friend I was gifting to.
I ordered the kit with A W and in talking with them they offered to specify to their warehouse to use UPS who delivers to the home.
Bottom line. These folks have great personal service! And on line ordering too.

The wrong item was shipped…...

I purchased the WS-4000. The shopping experience was a simple process and the Ambient Weather web site was loaded with information. As far as the WS-4000 goes, so far I really like it. Navigating the console setup is a bit cumbersome and not the most intuitive, but downloading the manual helps considerably. The wind sensor seems exceptionally sensitive compared to the mechanical anemometer I replaced, which is bound to make the wind-chill factor more accurate. There is plenty of information displayed on the console, and I like the Ambient Weather app's functions. There is a separate indoor sensor, which is displayed on both the console and app. The indoor sensor is designed to be placed in your home, but I put mine in my metal shop, which is about 100 feet from the house, so I could monitor the temperature during the winter. I am pleasantly surprised that the signal from the shop is strong and easily received by the console. I haven't received any rain yet, but I am looking forward to experiencing a haptic rain gauge. Mounting the outdoor sensor was a snap; easiest one I've ever mounted. All in all, I think the WS-4000 is the perfect weather station for a home owner!

The online purchase experience was simple and the product arrived when promised.

I've been very disappointed in Ambient Weather lately. Unfortunately I'm stuck with my current weather station but when it comes time to replace it I will be switching to a different vendor.

Great

The shopping was good, the device not so much. The reception is marginal at 100 feet line of sight through a window. Not nearly as good at the old Acurite.

Great product and great customer service

I received it promptly and very well packaged.

Great website. Did not see a link that would allow tracking of package during shipment

They identified my problem and quickly sent me the replacement part that got my system running at full strength

Everything was easy and fast, including the quick shipping. Now I need some warm weather to get a post in the ground this fall before Winter really sets in. Down to -10 tonight. Hoping I don’t have to wait until spring.

Called. Got help I needed. Ordered part. It worked. What else can I ask for?

Great on site but remote rarely works. Disappointing as the purpose is for me to monitor conditions remotely

Suggested item to purchase with station was worthless, didn’t go with the product I purchased, so why suggested? System was very very difficult to set up and now still only works occasionally. Very disappointed

Nate Gurney Was great. Helped me diagnose my issue and recommended a solution that worked. Very professional and patient

Glad to find I could order parts for my weather station. Reasonably priced and fair shipping cost. Wish I had a similar experience with their web based system.

Ordering was easy! Disappointed that instructions didn't come with the ws-4000, but with a little effort, I was able to find them on your site.
