Not difficult to place an order

Glad that I was able to find the parts as a opposed to buy a new system. My weather vain broke because it was hit by a ball and was able to replace it within 2weeks.

Website was informative about products available. Items were well packaged and shipped quickly.

2 weeks after buying it there was a special discount. No option to obtain the discount retroactively. Setup instructions could be more informative, especially about rain gauge.

Shipment was great the only thing was the manual had errors in it. For me not a problem but might be for someone else.

Shopping at Ambient Weather was overall a good experience. It was easy to see the specs and options for each weather station and it was nice to be able to download the owners manual before buying to make sure of what I was getting.

Was so pleased to find a replacement of the rain funnel. I am a diy guy, but the real part is so much better. PLUS ease of ordering the part and shipping was great!

My display stopped working and I described the problem to the service technician. He knew what I was describing and recommended the correct part.

I have had an Ambient weather station for years and am generally satisfied, but your question specifically asks me to rate my "experience" with you. To summarize, it's been unhappy, expensive and demoralizing. My current Ambient weather station had its anemometer fail in the second year. It's been soldiering on now for years giving generally accurate information minus wind speed (important to me, living on the plains). So when I saw your WS5000 with a no-moving-parts anemometer I went online and ordered one on a Black Friday sale. I liked the picture, I liked the presentation on the console, I liked the price, I liked the whole transaction. Foolish me. Unpacking it after delivery revealed that no console was included. I called and the sales guy could not have been more uninterested in my call. Given the invoice number he informed me that what I purchased did not come with a console. I was amazed and angry because at no time during the previously happy transaction was it indicated there was no console. As I said on my facebook post, "classic bait and switch." The only vaguely helpful action from the annoying sales guy was his admitting I could buy a console separately for another $219. My wife is not tech savvy so web or app access to weather info is off the table; I must have a console. So here I sit, having paid more that the full price, over five hundred dollars for a weather station I don't even know if I like yet. Talk about sucking the joy out of a purchase! ("RaveCapture", really?) I'm fairly sure that this is our last communication unless the WS5000 has a problem out of the box, but you asked.

Best customer support people. Had had a problem with a previous order, I didn't order all of the needed parts. Call the support line, only had to explain it once. The solution was mapped out by the representative who disgusted with the manager. Did exactly what he said he was going to do and called me back to confirm. Imagine that, not a robot, not a frequently asked question, but an actual human being who took the time to understand and make me happy. Never happens anymore. This is the third weather station I've purchased from them. Not because they broke, but because I gave them his gifts to my children. That's how much I like them!

Power cord gone Bad. I Tried several times to get my console working! I should have called tech support right away. Who knew after two years the cord can go bad! Thank you for helping! Try a new cord first!

New temperature sensor is working, would have been helpful to have directions included with the replacement part. And why does the unit have to have different sized screws??? Especially the deep ones that you can’t see, not helpful at all!

Always have had great help by sales people when I call for product info. That’s why I decided to buy a replacement weather station to replace one from a decade ago—both gifts.

Not pleased. I ordered a part (wind speed and direction) to replace the broken unit. I used the model # of unit to order the part. The part sent was not compatible with my 5 year old unit.

The shopping experience was fine, but the reason I was shopping was not - the console that came with my weather station died after less than two years.
