Website and product instructions are poor. Bought two sensors but had to return as they were not compatible with my weather station. The tracking shows the return as received over a week ago but I've not received my refund and no response to my email asking about it. Very poor experience.

Excellent service. Our weather station information screen began making a shhh sound after many years of trouble-free use. The Ambient weather site suggested replacing the adapter, problem solved!

Talk to a technical rep and ask if it would run on utility power. And he said no. When I got the unit, it said there was an auxiliary courd.Adapter for utility power. Blindness, I would have ordered it if I knew, but now I have the unit at no cord

Works great, as advertised. Setting up takes a little time, but patience.

One of the pieces on my outdoor weather station blew away in a blizzard this late winter. It was simple to order the part and it arrived very quickly, packed very securely.

I appreciate the quality of the data and the ability to check online. It was relatively easy to set up and I appreciate the additional sensors that are available.

Needed new temp, windspeed and W/m2. The old one only lasted 2 years. Quick response on the new part, but expensive and kinda wondering why the old one only lasted 2 years..

Overall a good device. Reasonably easy to set up and offers a choice between 4 main screens to choose from. One oversight I found there was no option that allows one to display yearly cumulative total rainfall. It would be nice if there was a way to not just show tiles of different size but to also fine tune the parameters that show up in the tiles.

I’ve owned four AW weather stations in the last eight years. When in good working order the equipment performs well. I also have five indoor temperature and humidity sensors and two outdoor pool floating temperature sensors. The outdoor array has needed replacing four times in eight years. Regrettably, the remote sensors I’ve purchased are only compatible with one model of weather stations, so upgrading to a more reliable model has been prohibitively expensive. When my newest outdoor array fails I will likely replace the entire system, perhaps, with another brand.

Product selection is great, and since this is my second purchase I was able to find all that I needed. I was disappointed that the WS 4000 lacked the fact that it needed to be mounted on a one inch diameter pole. I was able to find a section of 3/4 inch water pipe whoes outside diameter was one inch. My WS 4000 is mounted, set up and running.

I purchased this unit after a discouraging experience with a competitor unit. I am eagerly awaiting the upcoming stormy weather coming to the Pacific Northwest this week so I can see how the rainfall gauge works. Overall, very pleased so far.

The replacement part arrived quickly and solved the problem. But what I was really impressed with was the knowledge of the tech that had me troubleshoot the problem. After asking about my electrical abilities and test tools, he had me measure the voltage being supplied by the power supply. It was a half volt low with no load and was likely lower when powering the WS2902C. He said that these units will work on the lower voltage, but will not connect to my wireless system and therefore will not be visible to the outside world. Exactly my problem. Good fix.

The WS-5000 has been an excellent weather station so far. I love the extra modules I can add like lightning detection and soil moisture. Hooked up to Weather Underground for shared reporting.
