Replaced my old console. Synched right up with the station no problem. Very pleased.

I'm quite happy with my purchase of the WS-5000 weather station. The setup manual is extensive but answers the questions that I had. I would make some small changes to the way the unit clamps to a pole (to make it more efficient) but the setup worked fine. It is much more customizable than the unit that it replaced ( sender altitude, latitude and longitude barometric pressure setup from known local locations) which makes it more accurate. The display is busy (takes time to get used to, it has a lot of info) These are all things that I would expect in a higher end unit! All in all I'm very happy with this weather station.

Mostly good
Need better directions and visuals for mounting to a pole. Had to find You Tube video to figure that out. Also, when calling tech support, the hold time is too long. Often 5 minutes before a recording saying no one is available. This happened on most calls. When you do get get someone, they are good.

Part was readily available and the guy on the phone was super helpful, friendly and spoke clear English. Was a really easy, quick process to replace a lost part. Definitely a nice change of pace from international call centers.

The tech support wanted me to buy a new DC power adapter to “fix” the display from locking up and becoming unresponsive. Of course, I doubted the validity of this, but bought it anyway. Of course, it didn’t work. Ambient Weather designed a faulty display and fails to own up to it and make it right. Now that this didn’t work, they say I need to buy a NEW DISPLAY!! Do not buy anything from Ambient Weather.

Making this a required field is silly.

When my recent purchase of a AQIN PRO did not work on arrival Ambient was quick to respond and send a replacement, and pay for return postage on the defective item.

No customer response. Don’t answer calls. Don’t call back for messages sent. Instructions don’t match device.

Overall, it has been a good experience using the ambient weather system. Fairly good instructions to assemble and set up the system. Very easy to add optional data sensors, although I would like to be able to rename "Sensor 1, Sensor 2, etc." in the online dashboard to labels that reflect the sensor location. Also, on the dashboard I would like to see the ability to provide cautionary statements to provide useful information to others who may be looking at the wind data from my system, i.e. warning that wind speed and direction from the west is compromised due to the location of the system around trees, buildings.

Tec support was very helpful. Ordered a new console and had it up and running in a few days
