Purchased the WS5000 easy to setup. Internet connectivity was relatively simple. Display provides a lot of information and is very good and easy to understand. I purchased the Soil Moisture sensor for my vegetable garden, and that was a little more challenging to setup and calibrate. My only issue is that the readings from the soil moisture sensor is not readily displayed on the main screen and according to the manual was to scroll across the screen. Otherwise highly recommended.

I had been using the WS2000 for over 5 years, the LED display was going dim and flashing so rather than replace the display I chose to upgrade to the WS5000 with 4 additional sensors and the bird spikes for the rain gauge cup, system was quick and easy to setup and install, system works flawlessly, with the app I can check in from anywhere and see all the info from the system and each sensor. I highly recommend this system

The shopping experience was great - easy and very quick delivery. I am now struggling with attempts to use the API. I am finding it very difficult and confusing. The documentation is limited. Although there is a lot of Python code related to the API, there is no "package" that can be executed, so I don't yet know if I will be successful in my attempt to use the API. I hope so.

Bought a replacement for an old weather station that got damaged in a storm. It connected to my existing display without any problems. Very happy to have it back in operation.

The unit arrived with a faulty part; the drilled hole in the mounting arm doesn't line up with the hole in the bracket, so the wind/temp etc. sensor can't be mounted, making it useless. I sent a message with photos to their tech support but got no reply, just this request for a review. Iwas really looking forward to installing this station, but if Ambient doesn't support their products I'll have to return it. Disappointing all around.

The set screw on the wind speed indicator did not tighten enough and the first storm blew it away. We ordered a replacement and the set screw seemed to lock the new one more tightly. Time will tell if it stays on.

Bought a 2nd WD-2902D Console. Arrived in good shape and installed by just adding batteries and plugging in the power supply. It synced right away and is working great, echoing the display of the 1st console.

Your products are well engineered. I am pleased with my purchase. I decided on the mounting situation I wanted and purchased the proper mount system to accomplish my plan. I confess that I spent more time than I feel I should have navigating your website finding the mount I required. Part of the search time was I just wasn’t sure what would work with my station. If there had been some close up mount pictures showing the station and the clamp I would have felt better.

I would not purchase anything from Ambient Weather ever again. my $299.99 weathet station failed after less than 18 months of use. Ambient Weather support staff did not care one bit. we can sell you a new display for $199.99 agree shipping. I asked for a military discount and they directed me to go to a different sight and sign up for it. I was on the phone almost a half hour begging for a discount. finally he gave me a 10% discount. really, I spend $299.99 and it dies less than 18 months later.
I will not recommend nor purchase anything from them again.
I doubt if this will be included on the site.

I'm a little disappointed that the original part stopped working properly after less than two years, but glad the replacement was easy to find and easy to install. My humidity/dew point sensor began to malfunction during a recent storm and was reading anywhere between -20° and -50° dew point.

I tried to order online and was not successful. The system froze. So I called and placed my order. The order was entered multiple times in error. I received double of what I ordered and had to call to get that resolved. Then I also had to make a trip to the UPS store to ship back the extra package. Very frustrating.

Fantastic system so Far. Love the fact you can calibrate everything. THAT is perfect. Set up is a BREEZE. HONESTLY. Only drawback I would say is information overload on Display. Temp and Humidity Indoor and Outdoors SHOULD be all the Same Size. NO NEED for Sun and Moon on Display. Takes up Way too much room. THAT could be used for Other Data . It ALL Just needs reorganized. The Display on the 2902 is MUCH Cleaner but this still blows away my last manufacturer. Display was better. But wi fi set up was a nightmare. This system is super easy for wi-fi or PWS or Weather Underground.
