I would have given 5 stars but the site always seems to have areas that are over written. And after a couple of minutes it corrects itself.

Changed the pin count from 2 to 3 and now charge return shipping. And then want me to spend another $130 for a new array! Why not keep parts for the older models around?

I received the replacement part on time but am wondering why the original wind gauge came off in the first place. Does this happen often?

Great product. I was going to go with a non-Ambient weather solution (weather camera) but ended up going with Ambient Weather, the price way only $40 dollars more, but wanted to rely on 100% integration not some other weather camera that was compatable.
It was connected and fully operational in 15 minutes. The next day the public view request was approved.
Great product.

I recently purchased the WS-2000 during the Black Friday sale and have it up and operational. Have been pleased with it so far. It replaced a WS-1001 that I've had for 10 or 12 years that was still working except for the rain gauge (that I damaged recently). I wanted the WS 2000 for the ability to add the extra sensors. Soil moisture and basement water detection being the high priority. I've connected it to WiFi but haven't joined the weather network yet but plan to shortly. I really like the color display panel. I've got the sensor array mounted on the 12 foot pole in the back yard that I had the 1001 on, and it was a quick job to switch the new one for the old. Speaking of the old one (1001), the 2300 mah Nimh rechargeables I had installed 5 years ago were still going strong. I hope I don't have to put in replacement batteries too frequently in the 2000. I live in NC and the climate is not that harsh on batteries.

Unit arrived as ordered, upon activation it failed. After several attempts to recover with no result, I called tech support. The individual didn't appear to know much more about the device than I did. Eventually he told me to send it back for trouble shooting and possible replacement. The instructions for returning were not very clear, but a email later explained how to make the return. Not the easiest RMA I've ever dealt with. I should have gotten the RMA during the conversation. It is now on it's way scheduled to arrive in Chandler Friday Dec 9th.

The package from Ambient was right on time. And the shelter for the outdoor thermometer and barometer is great. Quality, design are first class.

I have had an ambient weather station for several years and had one issue early on which was resolved quickly by the company sending replacement parts at no charge. I frequently travel and wherever I am I always know what the weather is at home. I just purchased another station for my son to use at his farm and I know that it will be the same quality and serve him for years.
I have another 'top' brand of station and have had continuing problems with it so if you are going to purchase a weather station buy ambient.
