Great product and great feedback from placing order to delivery. Very extensive manual makes installation easy.
1000% better designed weather station than the LaCrosse I bought previously. 100% much better than to Acurite station I bought after the LaCrosse. Acurite has extremely poor firmware which can't be upgraded, unlike the Ambient 2902 which has much better firmware and can be upgraded.

I am happy I purchased the WS-2000, along with the 5-foot mounting pole and the device to add to the top to keep birds off, but I have not been especially pleased with a few things. Specifically, the incompleteness of the instruction manual. We were able to put it together, but would have preferred a more complete process than the video you have online, to compensate for the manual's overall lack of clarity. Also, I guess I find it hard to believe that the display unit has such a cumbersome interface to enter information. And, if you unplug, it's very confusing how to re-register. Thankfully, one savvy purchaser posted the fix online. Finally, Weather Underground, for some reason, is only updating at intervals over 3 minutes. My neighbor's weather station updates about every 15 seconds. We have had the station for 24 hours and hope the situation improves. As far as the unit itself, so far we are happy we made the purchase.

I like the WS-2000. Setup was easy and the console looks nice.

no complains!

Very satisfied with my purchase. I needed a replacement for my rain gauge, and it was delivered the following day.

Great product

Very easy to search for what I wanted. Great description of items. Excellent purchasing experience!!

I did alot of research on a home weather station before buying one. I purchased the WS2000 with extra sensors for the home. I can not be more pleased with the performance of this weather station. Before this weather station, I owned a Davis weather station but it was dying and in need of being replaced.

I seriously considered buying the Vantage Vue by DAVIS, however it appears that DAVIS is still stuck in the 80s with there display console. The color console that came with Ambient Weather Station, far exceeds its competitor. I will say that DAVIS weather stations are know for there accuracy, but there logic for data and the way you have to get it from the console with a multitude of pressing of buttons in the right order to get the data, was a memory nightmare.

Even with there most recent additions to the DAVIS line up of stations, the consoles are what kept me from buying another one, plus the viewing experience I had with the previous one I owned over the past many years was hard to see the information. The Ambient Weather console is a joy to view and is very crisp and so easy to see from a distance.

I read through the manual several times, and familiarized my self with all its features. Fast and easy put together of the sensor array, and the same with putting the sensors where you want. I was up and running in no time at all. Having the Ambient weather app on my phone is so convenient, that I can check my station parameters anywhere I go. The ability to see other neighbor hood station details is awesome, and to be able to give your own weather forecast in a few words or less is fantastic.

The console set up is straight forward and easy to do. I like the night black backlight over the white backlight better, it is pleasing to the eye, plus you can even adjust the brightness or even set a time for the backlight to go on or off in the setup menu. The menu features are very easy to go through and make any adjustments you like.

I had some questions for the tech support. Let me tell you my experience was terrific with them. They assisted me in every way with my concerns. I also picked up 2 more consoles to place around the house, not the same as the one that came with the WS2000, but the console that comes with the WS1900A Osprey weather station. These consoles are also very easy to see, and are color as well. You can calibrate them along with the newer WS2000 console, and get pretty darn close numbers across the board, you just have to be patient and adjust at the right time the signal refresh takes place, as that can happen pretty quickly.

Another feature I like is the ability to do a sensor resynchronize and or a factory reset on the consoles. The manual is easy to read and understand. I purchased in addition to other sensors was the Lightning detector sensor.
Wow!! This is awesome! I couldn't wait for the next Monsoon storm to blow through. One storm came a couple days later, and the console displayed the most recent time the last lighning strike was. It also displayed the distance of the strike and keeps count of the number of strikes. That storm that hit, I had recorded 351 strikes with in a 2-3 hr period.

Some recorded 21 miles away, all the way down to 4 miles away. The sensor detects the Electro Magnetic Pulse and records on the display. The sensor placed outside, even has a light that flashes a flash when it detects a lightning strike and then transmits it to the console. How cool is that!!!

Only time will tell how long this weather station will last.

Great products as usual…

Weather station arrived in good time. Instructions were fairly easy to follow and the station is up and running on the web site and sending data.

Site was fairly easy to maeuver through, although adding features and devices to my order was not as easy as it might have been. Overal good experience and very happy with the products purchased.

I purchased the station WS-2000 with extra temperature sensors very nice display the colors are very vibrant. The weather station was dry easy to setup. My only concern is the display is very light and does not seem as well made as my old station. WS-8478A

I purchased a bird spike kit for my WS2902C weather station. The purchase was very easy to do and I received the product when it was expected. Only problem is the birds decide to sit between the spikes.

You were very responsive in sending the requested part. However, I think the part was the wrong one for my unit. The sensor connector is designed for a 3-prong connection. My current weather station is equipped for a 2-prong connection

Quick, easy got what I needed. What more could I ask for?

It was a great experience working with Matt (of your staff) on questions about my current weather station issues and regarding the purchase of a new weather station.

Ruth, in tech support was extremely helpful and pleasant. She helped me get my awnet online.

When will it rain
Can't stand this heat from the road, can't stand the pain
When will it rain
It's burning holes in my shoes, won't you tell me
When will it rain
I think I'm going insane
When will it rain
I'm on the road that will never take me home
When will it rain

I returned the unit. The screen on the monitor is too small and hard, or impossible, to read unless you are looking straight at it.

The replacement array was purchased for a “still new in the box” but out of warranty array (a gift). After failed attempts to get the array and console to synch, I was told that the array was “dead”. The technician’s nonchalance to purchase a new array module (without sensors) was quite disappointing, especially given AW’s high support rating. I went ahead and purchased the new array which requires the “transfer” of sensors from the legacy unit to the new array. The wind vane sensor was incompatible (an old two-pin connector which doesn’t fit the new three-pin connector). When I called AW support to seek guidance from the support tech he was more dismissive than the previous guy. He said I would now need to purchase a new wind vane sensor. When I asked where the piecemeal parts replacement would stop and I’d get a working AW 2902C he said simply “that’s the solution”. In fact, I declined to purchase any additional AW components and returned the array for a refund. So the score is a unit dead out of the box, a replacement unit which didn’t fit and two service techs who, well, won’t be on my Christmas card list. Shocked that Ambient Weather’s products and support are so highly regarded — I can’t believe my experience is all that unique.
