Purchasing was great! Trying to get it returned thru a RMA has been a friggin nightmare going on for 2 weeks now, some caused by the the holiday.
If a manager/supervisor could call me I would really appreciate the help!

Good, only would have liked sales rep to inform me that WS-2000 requires WH31E. I upgraded from WS-2902 that did not need WH31E.

Rain gauge needs redesign to be non-mechanical. The rain gauge in my old Ambient weather station was the first sensor to fail after about two years.

We went on vacation and was able to see the weather back home. I can see when the sun will set before we get out on the water, and what the UV Index is before I walk outside. We know when lightening is in our vicinity. It has been a worthwhile purchase.

I had a great experience. I was able to add sensors to my existing system for a great price, and the shipping was fast, too.

I ordered the bird spikes for my weather station's rain guage. works like a charm...no more birds on the rain guage. Good price and was delivered quickly.

I have used a WS-1400-IP Observer since 2016. I use it to receive data from Weatherunderground and CoCoRaHS, and send weather reports to
CoCoRsHS and the National Weather Service.
my Internet Service Provider is Xfinity. i use their cable modem for high-speed Internet service.
I recently purchased a WS-5000 Wi-Fi weather station and retired the WS-1400-IP Observer. Unfortunately, I can no longer connect to WeatjerUnderground nor use ambientweaher.net since purchasing the new weather staton. Thus, I am most disappointed with ambient weather, since I can no longer share my weather data with others.

Easy to set up and get running. Have not connected to the internet yet, instructions for this should be more clear. Only reason it does not get 5 stars is that it is not mentioned that the base station does not have it's own sensor and that if you want readings from that room you need to purchase an additional sensor. I had to place a second order to get this additional remote. Otherwise it is great.

Overall, very pleased with my WS-5000. Just a few tiny issues made it a 4 star. Assembling the station was not complicated, but lining up some of the pieces to screw together was not easy, or was impossible. The holes just wouldn't align. Not the end of the world, just disappointing. I wish the display panel was as large as my old AccuRite. Otherwise, the station is great. Very compact, easy to mount. Accurate. I like being able to add sensors.

The weather station unit was as advertised.
Seriously, I love the unit and the data. I am a certified US Energy Home Energy Score Assessor and rely on the data provided for my reporting and recommendations. I was a bit disappointed when my unit failed after two years, but was willing to purchase the replacement unit for the information it provides. The accuracy of the unit is essential in my line of work.
The bird guard was disappointing. The tines were not very large and have to be bent before installation. The average person with some modest skill could have done better with zip ties and a few pieces of copper wire. Having to make adjustments is not worth the purchase.
Overall, I recommend the unit for the weather minded person. The features are all you could hope for in an affordable package.
