Awesome PWS which replaced my Acurite Atlas which was no longer connecting to my Direct-to-WiFi Display. I went with the higher-end model (WS-500) because of fewer moving parts. I've seen that the ultrasonic anemometer was quite accurate. Wished it was capable of recording wind speeds > 89 mph (as I live in FL which is prone to hurricanes).

Only 3 stars because of inadequate documentation. I spent hours trying to connect to WiFi using the iPhone awnet app, only to learn after much digging on the Ambient Weather support pages that WiFi Assist must be turned off on phone before installation can proceed successfully.

Table of Contents indicates “Quick Start” on page 5. I should have known that was misleading given that it goes on until page 20…. There is no quick start; it’s complicated; and it should say at the outset: set aside two hours, and two types of batteries.
I am irritated with the thing, and with all the emails I’m getting from the Ambient “weather community.” I’m just looking for a damn thing that will work; not a science project.

Fast delivery to Ontario Canada. 5 days I think.
Only thing I did not like was the cost by UPS. The sensor cost me $35 cdn, and shipping weight was only half a pound, yet the shipping cost me $40 Cdn. Too much. If I had known that I would have added another outside sensor to it for my shed.

I purchased this needing to know mounting and wiring details before figuring out how to install it. I haven't finished installing it yet but have received no less than 5 emails requesting to know how great the product is. That I don't know yet but I do know your Marketing Department needs to chill.

Two dealings with technical support. Although both were friendly, both were confusing. One went the extra mile to send me written instructions. The other did not answer my questions and was in a hurry to get off the phone. I am still waiting for a response to my email inquiry.
