It was difficult to determine what I needed. I had to get help from family. I didn’t realize I needed a pole. The weather station came when it said it would. I required expert help. We still have not been successful in connecting to the internet.

After 2 years of reliable and enjoyable use, we purchased a W2902C for a family member. A quick phone call to customer service to correct a shipping address issue (darn autofill) was quick, accurate, and friendly. We are looking forward to adding another Ambient weather station to the network!

The replacement part was easy to install. I replaced the rain gauge and the temperature/humidity module. I still can't get my weather station to work with the Ambient App. The station sees the monitor but I can no longer get it to transmit to the app. The person I spoke to was not helpful and told me to contact my ISP. I think you need to redesign your app. It's very hard to use.

While your support folks may take for granted swapping out station arrays is simple, others like myself have legitimate concerns about the conversion to a new array device. I provide data to MADIS and NOAA and it had better be accurate (to the limitations of Ambient sensors). I spend hours trying to find a ‘upgrade’ document on the Ambient website without luck. The new unit is still not installed because I may return it in your 30 not questions asked return policy. In the past, Ed would keep me pointed in the right direction. I’m guessing Ed has retired (best wishes), but the remaining team apparently is overload and can’t handle the volume.
Still a fan of Ambient, but pumping out bad data to weather agencies for weeks is embarrassing and unacceptable.

I received the 2902 C system in a timely manner and it was easy to put together…it’s working well. It took a bit of effort to finally get the system connect to Ambient and Weather Underground but all is working well at this point.

I’ve only had my PWS for a week but it was very easy to setup and the data seems accurate. It’s nice having everything in one device and display because prior to the Ambient Weather station I had a rain gauge, various indoor and outdoor thermometers and hygrometers. Having access to the info while I’m not home is nice too.

Customer service and technical support are non-existent. I was unable to connect to the internet after trying over two hours. Even with the help of technical support, I could not connect due to having a mesh router and not being able to separate the 2.4ghz and 5ghz frequencies. Technical support suggested I call my ISP and that they could turn off the 5ghz frequency which would allow me to connect. What a stupid suggestion...he SHOULD know that the ISP does not control the frequency over the cable that is coming into you home, but that the router controls the radio frequency.
I later contacted customer service for a replacement battery cover for the display unit. Instead of sending a link to the requested product, they sent a link to the battery cover of the weather station itself. If you decide to purchase this product, be warned.

I am impressed with the WiFi distance. I had to place the weather station a significant distance from my house to get true wind readings and the WiFi signal stayed strong at over 150 feet.

This is a very nice station, accuracy meets exactly what is stated. I have had the station about 7 months and it has worked flawlessly. Setting up wifi is a little difficult but go slow and you and do each instruction step by step.
My only complaint is I cant access charts or data with my phone unless wifi is connected. Then you can only view display. I still highly recommend this station.
