AW asked me to review my recent purchase, so ...
In March I spent $400 to purchase the WS5000 Professional weather station. 90 days later the plastic bracket holding the weather station split in half. I was told the bracket is not covered by the product warranty.
Not sure why a critical part of the product is not covered, but I needed a new bracket to hold the weather station in place. So I spent an additional $10 to purchase the same plastic bracket.
Buying a new bracket was not a huge deal. Just don't understand how it's not warranted and hoping I don't have to spend $40 per year on replacement brackets going forward.
Good luck to other 5000 owners.

I was looking at Amazon before I went to your website, and liked the fact that going to your site, I could add to my bundle, and get a discount for the extra pieces I purchased. If I would have went with Amazon I would not have even seen some of the things I was able to purchase from you.

The station was easy to set up and is working well. I joined Weather underground and found a neighbor who is also on the network. I ordered a telescoping pole to replace the temporary pole I have the station on now.

The purchase experience was fine. The unit I received is very nice. It was the customer service on my old panel I have an issue with. Not sure when I bought it. 4-5 years ago. Worked perfectly fine until it stopped working. Answer was basically it stopped working. When you pay hundreds for something it doesn't just stop working. I have had a laptop for 5 years. It doesn't just shut off in the middle of night and be done. When I pulled up reviews of that unit apparently my issue was not uncommon. I thought Ambient could have done more for me than direct to me to buying another panel.

The bird spikes I received did not fit my 5000. They were for a smaller rain gauge

Bought a new ws2000 sealed on ebay, the funnel was missing and you made me pay $11 for a replacement part. I am a pilot setting up a station at 28901 across from the airport. Very disappointed with the professionalism and support.

Tech Support was very professional in helping me order the replacement item I needed, and the cost was very reasonable.

Information like dimensions would have been helpful in choosing a mounting package. It would also have been helpful if the information on the Weather Stations clearly highlighted that they didn’t include and mounting hardware other than the two U-bolts and nuts. I received the Weather Station as a gift and my daughter had no idea that another purchase was probably needed to be able to use the Weather Station.
Overall I like the Weather Station and initial set up was reasonably straightforward. Although the instructions could have need more detailed.

Package did not include needed m3 x 25 nut for setup. Notified Ambient Weather on Jun 19 of missing item. Emails indicate it was shipped on 21 Jun by “regular mail”. So here I am on Sunday Jun 27th still with no nut.
So I can rate the quality or accuracy of the product due to poor quality control over including required items in shipment.
If nut is not received soon, I will return the whole order.
