Ambient Weather originally shipped the wrong items. I emailed and asked what I needed to do to return the items and receive the items I had ordered. A email reply was returned within 30 minutes. They said just keep the items they had sent by mistake and the items I ordered would be sent. The items arrived three days later. They work perfectly. All is well.

I purchased the WS-5000! Very easy setup, just read the manual. It’s only been two days but I am very happy with my decision to make this purchase.

When I was sent a replacement rain gauge, it was missing a coil filter. I sent emails stating I was missing a coil filter. I final gave up and ordered and paid for a coil filter. I feel I should not have to ropy.

It was easy to compare the units, and information about the options was easy to understand. The shipment was well packed, and the unboxing and setup was intuitive and quick. Using standard delivery, I had time to pick up extra Lithium AA batteries for the additional sensors.

Excellent Weather Station for the price.
The WS5000 is all I expected it to be and even more. With the optional sensors, can tell when to water the garden or the grass; use the system to turn on the air conditioner and reduce indoor humidity; check wind speed, cloud cover, solar radiation among other things. The WS 5000 display will show wind speed and direction, outdoor temperature and humidity, barometric pressure, rain fall, rain events, UV index, sunrise and sunset, moon phase with the current date and time. The alarms will notify you of any events that require your attention.
Setup is some what involved but with the instructions included with the system and optional sensors it is not too difficult.

It was easy to understand which product would be for novice and those with experience. We are novice at this so we purchased the 2902C. We are very pleased with what our WeatherStation can do And it seems perfect for those who have never work with one of these before.

Wrong Product was sent and it was a hassle to get the return authorization.

Nice product. A little pricey. A pickup option would have been nice since i live in Scottsdale.

Easy ordering, fast shipping, but the package was not sent to the SHIP TO address as requested. Since I was out of town, it was difficult to locate as the UPS tracking email simply showed left at front door. Why would a package be left at front door at a place of business (my work/ship to address)? I even called Ambient Weather and they said it was shipped to the SHIP TO address as indicated but was not. So my 1st time user experience was not good. Just got it mounted and connected a couple of hours ago and will say it was difficult to connect to my router. I'm an IT tech and immediately noticed the console kept grabbing 192.168.4.1 on DHCP which is not my router. Had to choose "Forget this network" on the iPad and try again and eventually got it connected. Compared to my old Lacrosse Pro, this console is light and flimsy. The manual could use some revising too. As long as this WS-2902C lasts as long or longer than my Lacrosse, I'll be happy. Just not pleased with the incorrect shipping.

Bought and returned 2 different lacrosse weather stations before I came across this. The lacrosse units were both either bad out of the box or broke down shortly after installation. Finally read very favorable reviews on this ambient unit and pulled the trigger. Super happy I did. Way more features and much easier to setup and install. All of these weather stations were a gift for my father, it's unfortunate it took me over 2 years to find the right one. I'm buying one for my own house too.

Everything about the purchase and installation was positive with the exception of identifying the weather station on Ambient and Wunderground for obtaining an ID. Neither system has the WS-5000 station listed, which is pretty bizarre. The database for weather stations seems to be very dated.
