At 72, I tend to not use heavy weights while training. I’ve been using the Crossover Bands to strengthen my shoulders. Many of the movements in Judo are rotational so incorporating the TORQ system was a great addition.

When my shoulder had been painful from labral tears for a few years, elite paddler, April Zilg, had highly recommended Crossover Symmetry cords to help strengthen and maintain my shoulders and back. I ordered a set and used them faithfully, which I believe postponed inevitable surgery for a few more years. At a post-op appointment, my sports surgeon told me to get these things called "Crossover Symmetry cords” to rehab. He was pleased and impressed that I already had them, and "prescribed" the lighter green set to start working back up to my regular routine. I returned to paddling and racing outrigger, dragon boat and SUP with healthy, stronger shoulders and upper spine. I now have both the regular and Blackout Crossover Symmetry cords—one set on the wall at home, one for travel.

After 2 surgeries on my right shoulder over the last 20 years I started to have an impingement in my left shoulder. Not wanting another surgery I deceased to try CS for 30 days before going to the orthopedic doctor. After week 1 the impingement was much improved. I have 2 days left of week 4 and I am using my shoulder at angles under stress that would normally make me worried. I highly recommend this to anyone with shoulder problems. The true test will be when I return to surfing and tennis.

I turned eighty last Dec. 07, yeah with aches and pains, just like others. My son, who has an elite wrestler still in high school, underwent surgery for lower back issues his recovery and training included using hip core bands and suggested it to me. I tried it, it was like lights on, felt the difference almost at once just doing the basic routines as recommended. Great workout to get the core in shape and strengthen again. Will always be part of my routine work out, thanks for making physical motion part of my life at this stage of my life.
