I love my new motor and charger. I have one 1000 miles on my motor with no problems. I have a 52 V battery and the charger works great every time. Luna has been very good to work with order was easy to place and it arrived on time and was packed very well. Would buy from Luna again. Excellent!!

The install went well with only a few hiccups. I would have preferred to buy the battery from Luna along with the motor, however they were out of batteries. Purchased the battery from Em3ev. I was disappointed nothing Luna shipped me had any directions. They would have been a good check. The 500c mini display was great but no directions , again.

I ordered a Luna t shirt and asked that the three women I met during my visit sign it for me. They did and I'm thrilled!

A excellent kit...only tweak needed was the holes on motor clamp had to be elongated wider to allow smooth bolt assembly and also elongated on motor bracket for same. Also hand filed 3/16" section on motor bracket, to allow bracket to slide across motor body... Spray painted motor bracket...I added rivit nuts on battery mount and to bike frame for motor bracket and new location for water bottle bracket . I was very impressed with final results.. With 42 tooth Luna sprocket the bike will hit 39 mph, with tons of bottom end power..The controller is set for motor output of 750 watts. More then enough for city cruising...Iam now going to order the Luna Black Box to set my amp output up higher for off road fun. This motor is rated for 1500 watts and Iam sure after riding at 750, switching to 1300 or 1500 watts, it should be a whole new experience !!! I've had a great experience with my Trek FX7.4--Luna BBSHD conversion which I completed three years ago. Even did the Nachez Trace which was 442 miles averaging 55 miles a day for my 70th birthday with that combination. Recently after knee replacement surgery I decided to buy a Trike. It didn't take long to realize that I was going to need to add a mid-drive--too slow going up hills.
I had two Luna Dolphin packs 48V, 13.5ah so all I needed was the mid-drive and after some research I decided to go with the Luna BBS02. It works perfectly and to my surprise I get better range with this mid-drive than with the BBSHD on the Trek (30 vs 25 miles). Lots of rolling hills where I live and ride.
The wiring went well and any excess stores under the seat. Being patient and mounting the mid-drive, shift sensor, brake lever, display and battery then give you the information needed to order extension cables.
Luna, Catrike, Teracycle and Racktime gave me a great setup that I'll enjoy for years to come. Luna, Catrike and Teracycle videos make good sources for information needed prior to beginning the conversion. The Luna support website and Blog are fun to review and browse as well.

Very good experience, the links to videos, and information on the website made installation a breeze. Comparing from a hub motor; the midline drive is way better... by far more quieter, more torque and more top speed due to the ability to still use your gearing. Well worth the money.

I ordered the nylon gear to replace my original one, which served me well for about 6000 miles of commuting. I'm sure I could have gotten more out of the original if I'd kept the motor temperature down during the hot summer months. Easy replacement using youtube videos.

WOW sums it up!!! The Motobecane HAL 5 was the perfect subject for the BBSHD. The C500 display is great. The gear sensor is a must. Reprogramming is the icing. The mighty mini battery is working out well. Thanks Eric and company!!!!!!!!!!

This is a great package for motorizing a stock tadpole trike. All the components work well together, and pretty straightforward to install. First test run with the BBSHD and a 52volt battery, it topped out at 40mph on flat ground with throttle alone, and a projected range of over 30 miles on a single charge, no pedaling. After a couple of test rides , I switched out the stock sprocket for a larger one. There was so much power I wasn't making much use of the gear set. The bigger sprocket lets me pedal at a slower cadence in high gear.

Bought a BBS02 kit from Luna to install on my 2005 Iron Horse Maverick SE. Got the 500c display, the 44 tooth chainring, and the gear shift sensor with it. Install was pretty straight forward. Only hiccups were installing the gear sensor and adjusting the derailleur. Ended up buying a new shift cable and figured out the derailleur adjustments. It easily goes 25 and I can still keep up with the pedaling. I'm sure it'll go faster, I just don't need to go faster on a bike. So far I love the bike.
