My partner and I rode our light bees up Mill Creek Trail last Sunday. It's all single track and we climbed a little over 5,000 feet to the top and then rode back down. Been riding dirt bikes all my life and this was the most fun I've ever had on two wheels. It was so much easier to ride than a dirt bike.

These bikes are terrific to ride! The BBSHD has plenty of power and was the right choice. I couldn't have done this conversion (well, it would've taken more time and more headaches!) without the great support that I received from the forum members and Luna.

Luna had just what I needed to stabalize my bafang mid drive motor: a well designed stabilizer bar and a specific wrench neeed to make the repair. The items were reasonably priced and arrived quickly. Perfect!

Wonderful experience

So far both the Cannondale and Motobecane builds with the mini 30's have been working great. Have over 4K miles between the two and they have taken some pretty serious pounding between deep beach sand and single trac florida trails. I would recommend this setup for anyone not wanting to spend $5G's plus on a prebuilt.

I need flyers I can hand out. As a trucker, i am repeatedly asked about this bike and I'm more than confident enough in it to spread the word proudly.

I needed a spacer to move the chainring out so it would clear the chainstay. This was in addition to the 3-4mm motor spacer.

I added a BBSHD and a Luna Wolf pack to my 2008 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR. It brought new life to the old bike and is a whole lot of fun. It took me a while to get all the build details dialed in, but ever since the bike is running great! I've done as much as 34 miles and 4000 feet of climbing on a single ride.

The mighty mini 30 tooth is a great difference even from the 36th. It turned my Fusion ludicrous into a wheelie monster ! Plenty of Torque for the steepest inclines. This rocks especially if you want a light front wheel.

I purchased a Luna Wolf battery and charger for an electric bike, but it's also been invaluable to help prototype remote robotic systems at my university!

This is a 2016 Specialized Fuse. I added the Luna BBSHD 1000 WATT with the 48V 13.5ah battery pack to it and I must say,the best addition to a bike I have ever done. I had a few questions during my build and the guys at Luna really helped me out. I will be building a bike for my wife soon and will definitely use Luna for that build also.

Hydrolic Brakes - 5” Pure silicone Vee tires - full suspension. And the list goes on - could not have accomplished this dream without Luna parts.

I had a local shop convert a comfort bike I hadn't ridden in a few years. 35MPH and 40 mile range just as advertised. i had to upgrade to metallic brake pads, and stiffen up the fork some. Some of the Bafang parts had to be replaced. I added a 50T chainring, and 11-34 casette for the flat terrain here. But the motor, gearbox, and controls have been flawless. I cruise into downtown FT. Lauderdale and hang out at some waterfront restaurants with a well to do clientel, and the bike gets lots of favorable attention.
A suspension seat post is a good idea becasue you'll probably be spending much more time on the bike than before. Luna CNC Shock Absorbing Pedals are very nice also. While I avoid riding on the busy South Florida urban streets as much as possible. I can keep up with traffic from stoplights, and crossing intersections when I have to. If I need to lay down a 30+MPH run for 1/2 mile or so it's not a problem. I'm 65 years old, so it's definitely the bike. Other than don't run the Bafang chainring without a chain guide (an old derailer works) i have no complaint with Bafang BBSHD or Luna.

I now understand why the name is Cycle and not Bicycle, I turned an old Giant Faith into a motorcycle thus the name Luna Cycle. I had the bike for about 12 years, and it is a tank. I could not ride most trails due to the uphill challenges. My hip would bother me after bike rides, and I could only go for 45 minutes before I was exhausted. Now, thank you to Luna, my bike is not a tank but now I call it the chainsaw because it will cut up all the trails with ease. Luna worked with me on some issues and they were responsive to my email and the live chat. I got the BBSHD with the Wolf Pack 52v and let’s just say I go riding and don’t want to stop. I turned that old bike into the most fun I have had on a bike in a long time. It handles the trails with ease and gets me to the downhill sections and I rip down them and go back up and do it again. I think Luna is a great company to work with but remember that it is a kit and your creativity in how to place wires and the battery take a little time and it is fun. I think the Luna front chain ring is the best Luna Eclipse 48t and it takes all the hills with ease. The bike is a 65 pound beast and I weigh 160 and the BBSHD does not even strain when used in the proper gears. I charge up the battery to 80-90-100 depending on what I am doing. I recommend contacting Luna and ordering a BBSHD even if you have hesitation on the performance you will be wanting to ride with the 5000K e-bikes to pass them up, the power is amazing. I do some fun trails and I keep it on setting 2 and when there is a little hill I will push setting 3 but take it off because of the power. I will use the throttle on level 2 to go over rocks and up little hills that jump out at me. Oh and please buy a Timber Bell for your bike because you will be ripping by people and scaring the S*#@ out of them.

All of the parts went together perfectly. Plenty of power for any trail I've tried it on.

This is my 4th electric bike and far and away the best one I have owned (I have two rear-hubs and 1 front hub). It is incredibly fast, agile and responsive. I usually vary between a 1-2 PAS and easily end up with more than 35-miles on a 90% charge (I would bet I could get to 45-miles but I haven’t pushed it that far). Because it’s a mid-drive it’s much easier to carry up or down stairs. Using the throttle, I can take off like a rocket. I’ve been really impressed with the Luna and I will be buying another mid-drive and selling my other hub-driven electric bikes.

I converted a Sidewalker Willy to electric using a magic pie 5 and the Luna Shark Pack. Love this ride. The battery is of high quality and came with the newer cradle that is much stronger with more pins. I ordered a shark pack cradle from another place in hopes that I could share the battery between my two electric vehicles and got the old one (not knowing there was a difference). These are not compatible. It was a $20 lesson for me, so thought I thought I'd share in hopes I could help someone ask the right questions if they want to do the same thing. I also didn't spring for the Luna battery charger and I regret doing that now. Having it auto shut off vs. trying to time it is a pain. One thing I really miss on this battery is an on-off switch. I wish it had this. Right now I'm taking the battery out of the cradle to turn off my scooter. I'm waiting for the remote switch to be in stock again, and I'll probably install that as soon as possible. These are small nit-picks on a great battery. I love the power and the range of it.
