I ordered my bike and they shipped fast. I also ordered an extra charger for work and that came quick as well. Luna rocks!

I'm sure lots of you have been trying to fabricate the right front Fendet. I found this on Amazo (see packaging) it'll take a week and a 1/2 from Japan but it seems solid and it fits perfect!

These Luna Mid Drive kits are power packed, easy to install and very reliable.

Most of the kit mounting went as planned. The only small issues I had was from my own lack of understanding. Everything hooked up well and as I predicted in that small frame it is a serious Beast! When climbing steep Hills you have to watch it or you'll do wheel stands. I've had it to almost 40 miles an hour in the dirt, which is kind of scary! I used to ride Motocross so I kind of understand it all but still with no suspension and big fat tires it's a little dicey!

I would recommend that you get the Luna wrench and any other tools you need in advance of starting the project. The only other thing that takes some serious thought is how large physically the battery is going to be. in the small frame I didn't want to put it on the back because I didn't want the weight that high so I got a really small form factor Samsung battery. I'm working on getting some mounting hardware custom-made so it will go in there, it just barely fits. In the meantime I've been riding it with some really heavy duty velcro straps that I got off of Amazon.

I did put in an SOS to Luna and they responded right away to help me understand the differences between the battery connections they're all not the same.

Aside from that I'm basically kicking everybody's butt LOL! My girlfriend went for one ride with me and she wants me to convert her bike too.

Pulled the trigger on the Summer Sale with my first mid-drive in the BBS02. I picked up a brand new Electra SuperMoto 8i so it was a very clean build. Being my first mid-drive, I took my time and watched several videos to make sure I got it right the first time. The SuperMoto 8i has an 8 speed IGH so adding the gear sensor is a MUST and it makes shifting super smooth. I also grabbed the Luna wrench and data cable which will be good for future builds and controller tweaking down the road. I paired up the BBS02 with a Luna 52V Mighty Mini and I've been able to get 20-30 miles per charge (if I keep the PAS around 1 or 2 and I live in Indiana so it's flat). I also replaced the stock 44T ring with a Lekkie 52T since I primarily use the bike for rail trail riding so top speed was my priority. Plenty of power and the seamless BB design makes it look pretty stealthy next to non-electric bikes. Get one and get going!

I've been with luna for awhile now. Other companions trying to compete are amateurs compared to luna!

The BBSHD 1000w motor and accessories and battery came in two big boxes. Everthing was there to install on the bike except instructions. Easy installation. Had to go to youtube for installation video. Lots of installation videos available. Luna cycle video hard to watch. No voice instructions just music. Lots of good videos out there. Love the final product. I now have an electric enduro bike. Hitting the dirt trails and streets. Hard to go back and ride non ebikes!!

Mongoose Aztec doner bike with lots of upgrades. Shaved the bottom bracket down to accept the BBS02, and I fabricated a steel brace mounted to the motor and to the kickstand mount of the frame.

My son (13) and I converted his Specialized Pitch in a few hours.
Neither of us has any experience working on Bikes, so this conversion was a learning experience.

Having the right tools made the job easy. We used standard bike tools purchased for this task to remove the original drive system. Then installed the motor. We could not find the spacer kit - not sure if it wasn't shipped or I had lost it. My son and I milled custom spacers on a lathe, then continued with the install. The spacer kit also would have had the correct screws, so we ended up buying longer screws and cut them to length.

My son rides his bike to school and often goes on rides with my wife. We are going to convert my older son's bike as well.

The BBS02 has been a dream so far. Great power.
My main issue was overheating after a long ride on an 80* day with lots of hill climbing.
Past that, users will want to ensure their lock rings stay tight, and that they install the crank arms correctly, or you WILL CAUSE DAMAGE.

Lunacycle made this super easy. Plug and play. And their articles gave me the confidence I needed to pull the trigger. Sending friends here for their builds now too.

Works well when you need to climb for awhile, climb off and set chain over. Wife loves E Bike, she is 66 and I am 70. Can do the old rides

I found my donor bike first and then purchased my BBSHD from Luna Cycle. The build is pretty straightforward as outlined in various forums. I like to really dial things in so I took my time and building something nice is part of the fun. I enjoy riding this bike so much that my regular bike is gathering dust!

love the bike made a few little upgrades including I had the seat reupholstered I also changed out the my brakes and put on a set of magura 4 also got a set of road tires for it next time looking change out the sprocket

Nice fun set-up with a 750 watt motor and a 48V 14 ah battery.

I live close enough to Luna cycle support drive down and pick up my bike. I also picked up a battery on another occasion. I got some insights and helpful info from the several staff that I met.
