My mother uses your system and we couldn't be happier with it. Mom lost her pendant recently. She was frantic when she called in and spoke with Sue. Mom said Sue was extremely nice and helpful. She ordered Mom a new pendant and calmed her down. It came quickly and when Mom tried to set it up she had some difficulty so she called in and got Sue again. Sue realized right away what the problem was and got it all taken care of. I just can't emphasize enough what an excellent product this is and what EXCEPTIONAL customer service you provide. From the time we set Mom up with this until now, everything we've been told has been correct and every person we've talked to has been so nice, helpful and efficient. A true anomaly nowadays! Thank you so much for this wonderful service and thank you Sue for being a calming presence for my Mother. When my time comes to need a service like this, your company will be the only call I make!

HOME & YARD Medical Alert Belt Clip
I have the Home & Yard medical alert unit. It is exactly what I wanted. I don't normally go outside, but I wanted a unit that you talk into and listen to. When my wife was alive, she had a system where you talk into a central unit.The problem is that you cannot here what they are saying, nor can they hear you from most of the areas of my house. This unit solves the problem.

After looking through all the different choices, I decided that the 'Home and Away' (I think that's the proper name - I'm 73 and can't remember for sure) system would be the one for me, because I'd be using it outdoors, for tobogganing, walking our back roads for exercise, and gardening. I also travel. So that's what I'd ordered.
Your customer service people have been top-notch as well. I've had several calls to them, and each time my question has been answered in a warm, friendly, competent way.
All in all, I'm VERY, VERY HAPPY and satisfied with my Medical Care Alert system and very pleased with all the friendly, competent responders from each area.

I am very satisfied with the Medical Care Alert system I purchased for my mom. I initially started with the fall alert, however my mom was a little freaked out by the quick response to any unusual movement, so I found it necessary to change from the fall alert to the standard push button for assistance system. My mom is now comfortable with the device and confident she can reach assistance should she need help. Both the sales rep and customer assistance personnel I have dealt with have been terrific and I would not hesitate to recommend Medical Care Alert to all.

I liked this company's website, which gave a lot of information. I had problems with my pendant because my AT&T service was so bad. They have diagnostics on the pendants and knew it was wasting battery life searching for a signal. They helped me get a microcell box to boost the signal in my house, which worked great. A year later, I had 2 days with a problem with my battery,. They shipped me a new one immediately, which is fine. I have had a fall, no injury, and, after a brief wait, it did activate itself. (You can stop it.) I wish technical support had some weekend hours, as the emergency personnel know nothing about the pendants. All-in-all, I am very satisfied with my pendant, now, and am very reassured that I have it. I think everyone who lives alone should have one! (But, check your AT&T service first! All companies use AT&T.)

It is great, except that the voice gets extremely soft when it has been in the shower. The paramedics came once because of this. I didn't her the voice when it was behind my head in the shower and it said it had detected a fall. (They replaced the pendant and the new one was soft, too.) If you don't have good AT&T service, your battery may run low. They did help me with a fix for this.

Had for 2 weeks. So far so good. Use the belt clip. I wear suits so the pendant is not a choice. I use belt loops for the clip since it does not fit any of my belts. It seems to have been designed for a narrow belt. The unit can come out of the clip if you brush against something. Fixed that with 2 sided tape in bottom of clip. Doesn't come out unless I pull it out. Have dropped it 3 times, has not gone off. Only time it went off was when it got caught by my seatbelt in car. That inspired the 2 sided tape which I keep in the car for other purposes. I had another system for almost a year and gotr increasingly frustrated when the belt clip on that unit broke and it kept going off every few days for no reason as well as when I dropped it. I decided to get this when I was told that the belt clip was a holder and not part of the unit and replaced a clip like the one I had. I lead a very active life and I'll see if this unit can keep up with me. So far it has.

I did this for my grandmother and the purchase was very easy and efficient. Customer service was great with all my questions, concerns and hook up. I do wish when calling the main number when you push the button had a bit quicker response time for someone to answer but other than that everything with the system and service is great!
