Your lever and extractor were purchased for a previously owned .41 Mag Model 1894 Cowboy Carbine Limited that was in like new condition. The lever (including shims) installed easily and worked perfectly with no modification. The rifle has NO rattles now like it did before I installed it, and the lever is a thing of beauty to behold.
The extractor installed relatively easily and works great. It too is a big improvement.

Nice addition RPP larger lever on Marlin 336 and aluminum follower had to do some hand lapping to get the lever to fit properly. The tube follower was an easy installation. Also added top rail, heavy duty shell extractor, and I did a trigger job and polished all of the internal parts. The internal parts were probably manufactured by Remington removed all machine marks in parts just enough removal to take out blemishes

After pulling my new marlin 1894 out of the box and running the action once, I knew there was room for improvement. I started with WWG lever tune kit, XS sight/rail system, solid firing pin and reduced power springs. I smoothed and lapped the entire action. All was good, but running the gun still felt unnatural. In my search I hated the thought of the Big loops you see all the time. After some reviews I found the Ranger Point Medium Loop Lever, with the axis point already rounded (key to avoiding the “marlin jam”) and also picked up the Quick Takedown Screw for ease of servicing the rifle and the Extractor. After installing all parts the gun feels completely different. I had a feeding issue with the extractor at first, but in less then 24hrs the customer service department had a quick fix for modification to the spring and the rifle is now lighting fast and smooth as glass. Thanks RPP!

A couple of months back I took the plunge to update my Marlin 1894CS in 357 mag. First I installed the Ranger Point Extractor and immediatly felt a difference when I cycled it. Then I cleaned out the mag tube, shortened the mag spring, and installed a new stainless steel follower. Today I shot my first match with it. What a JOY I had shooting it. It never ran so smooth, and the extractor worked like a charm! I would highly recommend to anyone who has a Marlin 1894 to replace that bobby pin extractor with this Ranger Point Extractor. IMO you cannot go wrong.

Love shooting this gun. Fit and finish on the Ranger Point .357 Sig barrel is fantastic. Literally drop in conversion. Didn't even need the spring for the extractor sent with the barrel. Gun functions flawlessly. Enjoy it so much that I bought a Dillon 550C just to load for it.

In all honesty, an original gate can never be made to be this slick.The part I love about these, is that with a simple press-in on the new gate, you can quickly and almost effortlessly unload cartridges from there. I bought 2 packs..I thought each a different size...when they arrived there was no size(thickness) info on either pack, so it was hard to figure exactly what I had..I futzed with them and eventually inserted one shim..It made a significant difference...the action on these guns is ROUGH and needs all the help they can get.

Rifle Dovetail Sight Filler Blank (black nitride coated)
When I bought my Marlin 336 XLR 30/30 I didnt like the ugly carbon steel dovetail on my beautiful stainless steel barrel so I took to the internet to find a quality dovetail SS dovetail blank. I found the one by Ranger Point. It was wonderful. It literally just slid right in the groove. It didnt need any filing, sanding, and I didnt need to do any tapping at all. I just put some red locktite on it, slid it in place using only my finger and I was done.

Thanks to RPP, I now have what Steyr wouldn't make, a L357-A1 and S357-A1. The S357-A1 has the brass weight added, and the L357-A1 has both the brass weight and steel guide rod added to help tame what little muzzle flip there is. Can't wait to put these two through their paces at the range!
