Awesome stuff, easy to work with. Great results

I purchased a combination of products from Second Skin and so far I'm very pleased with the quality, workability, and the result of all of the products I received.

These soundproof studio doors are the heaviest doors I’ve ever seen. Built very high end. We stained the wood to match the floor and they look great.

This STC 56 studio window blocks an incredible amount of noise. We can’t hear a peep through it when recording.

Well, I wasn't sure how this material would compare to the stick on sound deadening mats, but boy am I glad I tried it! I have ripped out the dash to replace a leaking heater core on my 96 Landcruiser, and thought while I was in there I should sound deaden and install heat barrier on the firewall to prevent unwanted noice and heat from the engine. I haven't driven yet with the Spectrum, but I can tell a HUGE difference in the sound of the firewall when I tap on it. I'm really looking forward to also applying this to the floorboard, doors, side panels and roof of my Landcruiser to make the inside of the truck feel much nicer when cruising on the open highway or off-roading in the desert.

The Spectrum needed to be mixed really well with a part drill and mixer when it first arrived, but ultimately goes on really easily. I chose to apply it with a paintbrush, and while it's a little harder than spraying, it's very simple and just like painting with a very thick paint.

Overall, this seems like great stuff, I'll report again when I drive it and can tell the audible difference.

Similar to my other review of the spray adhesive, this tape does not work at all at high temperatures. It has not held up my Luxury Liner Pro installed in Florida. It really isn't sticky at room temperature, either. It barely stuck to the Luxury Liner during the installation and would release adhesion at the slightest of touches. If you need tape for your application, find it elsewhere.

This adhesive works pretty well at room temperature. However, the name and the can artwork indicate that it is suitable for high temperatures while it actually is not. I live in Florida and this summer started wondering why my truck was getting louder. I pulled back a piece of trim and discovered that all of the Luxury Liner Pro that I had adhered to the Damplifier has fallen off. The adhesive has turned into a gummy mess and won't re-stick anymore. The worst part is that the sheets of Luxury Liner are now probably ruined because I won't be able to get the old adhesive off, so I will have to buy multiple additional sheets. PLEASE do not use this adhesive if you live anywhere in the Southeast/Southwest.

Review:
Outstanding product. After many tries of other solutions (not at Second Skin) I was prepared to be disappointed...and this was the first product that actually worked.

Context:
In February, we traded out our old gas furnace/air conditioner for a heat pump system. Unfortunately, the air handler created massively increased constant noise within our HVAC vents. My wife and I are both full-time professional musicians both practicing and working from home, so it was intolerable. I tried adjusting the settings, installing different registers, installing dampers within the vents, redirecting air...nothing worked. Finally, I splurged and bought a partial roll of EcoVerb. I installed it as per the directions in two places: 1) directly above the air handler as far in as I could reach, and 2) at the end of each vent arm before the register, as far as I could reach.

I tested using a decibel meter, and in each instance, there was about a 5 dB reduction--which, if I'm calculating correctly, means the sound was reduced by a whopping 68% at each register. More importantly, it was immediately and powerfully noticeable to our ears. I was going mildly nuts over the sound and dreading the winter with constant HVAC, and this has been a tremendous relief--one of the best dollar for dollar investments I've made in our home. Finally, I can sit and read near the registers again!

Installation:
Installation was straightforward, if not precisely easy. From the register into circular pipes was no problem--cut to length, roll it up, and stick it down the pipe. In the air handler, I had to open it up to install a humidifier anyway, and while I had it open, I simply cut to size, sprayed the recommended 3M adhesive, and put each piece in place. No drooping, no dropping, no dripping--worked like a charm.

Quantity:
A partial roll was plenty for me, leaving me with about 40% left over after install in the air handler + 3 HVAC arms. (approximately 4 feet into each arm, each with a 6" diameter). I hung it up in the laundry room to help reduce noise there, too.

If your experience is anything like mine, you will not be sorry.

Used damplfier pro about 10 years ago. Got some leftover pieces out of the attic. They worked like new. Bought some more to finish it. So much quieter now.

was exactly what you said it was . just what i needed. a little on the expensive side for a plain plastic bottle with no lid or anything!

I ordered the custom made blanket for a wall for soundproofing. Customer service is very helpful. Quick response and fast shipping. Eric answered all of my ton of questions nicely. The color tan was not like the color sample picture they sent me so I will have to paint it later but blankets looks great and the size that I customeized was perfect. I wish they will make white MLV later soon! I will purchase more product for my soundproof music room from this wonderful company!

Mega Block is a high quality product. It is easy to cut and stick to panels. I like that is also helps with sound deadening. Mega Block should keep my Scout warm in the winter and cool in the summer!

Luxury Liner is the best mass loaded vinyl product on the market! There is a huge difference between other brands. The luxury liner is so easy to bend and shape to the interior of the vehicle. It is also easy to cut. If you are looking for ultimate quiet vehicle you have to add Luxury Liner to your ride.

Im not finished my project yet, Currently only have spectrum installed. But i like it so far. it sprayed on nicely, not as thick coverage as i planned. After a few days it seems hard as a rock and im ready now to move forward and install carpet/waterproofing.

I paid over $1,000 for some of this product. I was pretty frustrated to stop by Home Depot and see the same thing for a quarter of the price.

This had the biggest impact for me as far as sound deadening in my 1976 VW bus. I installed it on the floor across the whole interior, i.e., including over top of the cargo bay. Easy to work with, as per the instructions. This liner really helped deaden the engine noise from the back, and the road noise at the front. I'd say the front specifically was the biggest bang for the buck for me. We even measured to compare before and after-- before it was about 85dB at highway speed, and after, under similar conditions (wind, speed, road) it was around 70-75dB. Much nicer!

Excellent. Used this in the nose and front doors of my 1976 VW bus and it was just what I needed. Light and hydrophobic, because I'm paranoid about moisture collecting there due to the windshield washer tank in the nose, and the fact that water is supposed to flow through the doors (they're designed this way). Super sticky so careful planning was needed to install, but it worked great. Helped make everything sound a bit more cush.
