Sound Lock™ Soundproof Door
I have a home studio here in Nashville, TN where I write a lot of my own music and produce and write for a lot of others. I do a lot of rock and alternative where folks are screaming at the top of their lungs and the instrumentation is always loud so I needed a way to keep that from pouring into my house. At first, I was worried this door might be overkill for the project and also worried that this door would be just as effective as an exterior door! BOY WAS I WRONG! Everything from the door mechanisms to the craftsmanship on the wood to the door seals transformed my experience of sound proofing for my space. I couldn’t believe how just one door from second skin with the all of its built in features could literally bring the loud environment to a whisper. The door itself feels like solid walnut and built like no other door I’ve ever had.

Fantastic Frame™ Soundproof Window Inserts
I hate doing reviews but in this case I thought it would be useful to people to know that these inserts are high quality and really do block a lot of street noise. When we bought our house in Denver we failed to notice how busy and loud the street we were on. We added insulation in our walls on that side and put in new windows but still had a noise problem. This product didn’t completely eliminate it but really helped. There are two challenges with it though:
1. They are shipped by freight and the crate that arrives is huge and very, very heavy. Since the delivery people won’t move it farther than your driveway, it was a challenge to deal with.
2. We had a professional install them and even he had some issues getting them to fit right. Two of them were about a 1/16” off and he ended up having to take out a couple of screws.
All in all, a solid purchase.

Luxury Liner Pro™ MLV + Foam Auto Sound Barrier Sheets
I purchased the Luxury Liner Pro for my Honda Civic. The product was as described and high quality. However, the heavy material (4-5 sheets) negatively impacted fuel efficiency and made the engine work harder, resulting in sluggish performance. I ultimately removed it and returned to stock. Good product, but it wasn't the right fit for me.

Corvette Sound & Heat Package
The c6 Corvette is designed to be a lite sportscar,, so therefore it doesn't use much sound treatment. Less is more with sportscars. However, the road noise from car tires and loud exhaust can kill the experience. I added a full layer of sound CLD material and the Second Skin Luxury Liner Pro. The material is easy to use, cut and install. I used foil tape to seal up all the seams and what a difference in the noise level. Highly recommended!

It works well to stop heat transfer. I first bought one gallon for the firewall on a K5 Blazer. Then I ordered another gallon to do the inside of the blazer fiberglass shell. I ordered 3 gallons all together. I live in Phoenix AZ. What amazed me at first was its dark and you can put your hand on it in the sun. You don’t touch dark or shiny things here that are in the sun. It was sprayed on so I don’t know what rolling it is like. You need to buy their gun or use a bed liner spray gun. It’s thick. It sets up fast, so have your prep done before you start. I will use it again.

Hydrophobic melamine is hard to come by! The thickness was perfect for my truck door outer skins and cleared the windows. Make sure you know exactly where you are putting it and have a clear path because if it sticks to you or something else before it's desired spot, the adhesive is so strong that is exactly where it stays LOL

Refrigerator Soundproofing Kit
This kit is relatively easy to use if you are a handy person. I measured the sound coming from our new GE refrigerator at several points before and after installation of the material on the wall behind the refrigerator. Close to the unit the sound went from 54 dB and 52 to 49. Farther away in the room there was less reduction, from 45 to 44. I was hoping to silence the fridge more but this is definitely some help.
