In general, our experience with purchasing a Roland BN20 through Swing Design went well, however, the product arrived from Roland with issues that couldn't be resolved without several calls and visits with Roland. One issue was that the serial number printed on the machine didn't match the number that Roland had for it. By the time the printer started producing what could be used as a product, the white ink that came with the machine was gone, the other colors of ink were down 25 - 30%, and the film roll was almost empty.
Swing Design Support team contacted Roland to advocate for us but Roland refused to compensate for the lost materials.
I appreciate Swing Design's help, but this product has been very difficult to get going.

SAWGRASS 1000 - REFURB PRINTER. I just received the printer today 5/19/23 . It looks good on the outside. I was a little nervous about purchasing a "refurb", but went ahead and did so because this is Swing Design, and I have purchased from them before and have not had any issues. Unfortunately, this product is DEFECTIVE. Straight out the box it gives me a "Functional Problem" error. WTH?? Now I am now out over $1100 with a printer I cannot use, and it will probably cost me another $1000+ to get it fixed. I should have spent the extra $400+ and purchased a new one. Trying to save a few $$ has now cost me a whole lot of $$$$$$! Next time I am going to go with my gut and stay away from "refurb".
Oh and do not try to search for the error code on-line it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack!
