So far it has all been ok. A bit cinfusing... I wanted to choose volunteering helping sloths but happened to get turtles. That will be ok too, I guess.
Paying has been hard as I get the message that my post code is wrong... Tried different ways but it still doesn't work... Guess I'll have to transfer the money...

Mostly everything has been top notch. Except for....
My husband and I are volunteering at the elephant/rhino sanctuary in April. We have the opportunity to get some grant money from our employer to volunteer and have an application to complete in a short window.I am having some frustration finding out some questions asked about the Sanctuary on the application, I have emailed Michelle and have been calling the Florida office to see if I can get some answers, but been unsuccessful.
maybe you can help?
My questions are:( the first two question most important)
Mission statement of the elephant/rhino sanctuary?
confirmation on a letterhead from Sanctuary that We are accepted
Complete address of the sanctuary
Is there a phone number for the sanctuary?
complete name of contact person of the sanctuary?

The accomodations were as described, but the web site doesn't contain totally accurate information. For example it says that there are two turtle species, the green turtle and the leatherback. However the staff told me that the only turtles that nested there was the olive ridley.

So, I really was confortable to organise my trip !
I also had others interrogations, and we I sended a mail to Sam Sexton or Linda, I received an answer under 10 minutes. I feel that these persons love their job and do everything to help the volunteers before, during and after the trip !

It is my first time volunteering and I really like your site. I like the quick responses. I have a question however? is it possible to have fully sponsored volunteering opportunities? I was very disappointed in the response from SASTA when I stated that my housing situation was misrepresented. They stated that it was like a dorm. There was no indication that this was going to be a coed dorm with shared male/female showers. There were also NO rules and alcohol throughout the entire house. When a complaint was made, I was told that I don’t understand the culture at all. I was treated with great disrespect when trying to make a complaint and I do not appreciate being told that I was getting heated when I was not even able to get a word in. Overall, it was very poorly handled.
