Poplar Wide Plank (Face Grain) Countertop
I purchased this product almost 6 months ago. The piece of Poplar that arrived met my expectations (which was high). I was looking for a piece with the darker mineral streaks for my project - a tall, narrow cabinet door, a piece that would double as artwork.

Great prices for their products. But, over inflated shipping prices. I could have bought a plane ticket cheaper and picked-up the order myself.

Birch Edge Grain Butcher Block Cutting Board
I was surprised at how rough the finish was when I received my three custom-made boards. When I contacted Hardwood Lumber Co, they said that I needed to sand them. I would have thought that for more than $300, they would have sanded them! Update-received a kind response from the company.
Response from Hardwood Lumber Company
Jun 06, 2023
We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the rough finish of your custom-made cutting boards. We strive to provide the highest quality of service and craftsmanship to all of our customers. We understand that you would have expected the boards to be sanded smoother for the price you paid. We will be sure to take your feedback into consideration for future orders. We hope that you are able to find a satisfactory solution for sanding the boards. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
