Sales team was excellent and very responsive. Butcher block counters I ordered are beautiful and well oiled (I requested mineral oil finish). Would give 5 stars, except the delivery company chosen was highly problematic. Strongly recommend using a different delivery service if you want repeat customers. The delivery company a) delivered late b) told me I needed someone home to help the driver move the box and c) the driver told me day of he didn’t need help but would only deliver the box curbside - and rolled the box on his forklift dolly to the garage as “a favor” stating that he was only required to leave the box at the curb and had done so with customers who have long driveways, despite the protests of the customer that they could not move hundreds of pounds of product to their doorstep themselves.

Sent sales plans for a custom design which was built exactly to spec. The walnut countertops were beautifully crafted using high quality lumber with a flawless finish. It arrived on time(maybe even early), carefully packaged and boxed over a pallet. Delivery driver was helpful.

The craftsmanship is great but I’m disappointed in the piece, no other way to put it. If it was building this myself I would have stopped half way through and realized it didn’t look good and would have tried something else. I wish they would have done the same for me so I could have picked a different product of theirs, which I might end up doing anyways because now I know they at least get all the other finishing right.

We bought retrofit stair treads. Our experience was excellent. We are putting an addition on our house and I had no idea what type of treads we needed. Customer service patiently walked me through this part and helped me order the correct sizes. The treads came in boxes of 3. They were packed with utmost care. There was no damage at all. The treads are red oak and absolutely gorgeous.

Working with Hardwood Lumber was pleasant. There was a mistake with shipping address which resulted in the order being misrouted. But HLC worked to resolve the issue. Shipment arrived with slight damage to corner but fortunately it was not going to be visible. I would consider ordering from HLC again in the future should the need arise. The customer service staff consistently demonstrated good customer service skills and were always helpful and pleasant to deal with. Which was refreshing this day in age.

I never received any follow up information other than an order number which was not searchable until i actually called customer service. I also never received shipping information with the exception of a very small piece of print viewable only on an attached invoice, noting it was shipped via FedEx, but nothing for tracking. It showed up a day later than stated (this possibly is on fedex). The actual slab of wood (24x36x1.5) is very nicely finished with beautiful grain. The product exceeds my expectations. The customer experience, not so much.
