I have not had the opportunity to install our new hickory island countertop yet, but I look forward to doing so. I ordered a 5 1/2” x 3/4” hardwood nosing piece in Hickory with a matte finish. All I did was order online which proved to be a good user experience compared with most sites out there.
I waited a few weeks and received email updates as the needed “top step” to the hallway went through its production and delivery process. I was in no hurry because I was still in the process of installing 900 sq/ft of Hickory hardwood on the second floor.
The piece arrived well packed and I was astonished when I opened the package. Whoever the person was who picked this particular board did an a-ma-zing job! So rich in texture and color to include a knot - such a beautiful board that it blew my wife and I away. AND it mirrored the light version of this dark, rich board which it was placed next to - perfect balance.
Bottom line - cannot thank you enough for complimenting our hard work with this piece of artistry!

I'm not sure what to write or how to rate my experience because still haven't received my order yet. I placed an order for a small butcher block rectangle on February 24. According to Hardwood Lumber, it was supposed to arrive on March 7. However, they didn't ship until March 11. It's March 16 and it still hasn't arrived. I wish that I'd have gone to the lumber yard and done the project myself. That said, the site's design and ordering process is simple and efficient.

It was a long delivery and the product was definitely not worth a $100 a 6’ board. I could have purchased the wood and router bit for half the cost! Wood was warped and did not have even a B side! Would never purchase from this site again

The product was not as I expected. There were multiple cracks in the countertop that had to be sanded. Shipping was done via freight and carrier gave me a 10 hour delivery window. That is unacceptable. I have reached out multiple times to have my sales rep call me. Have not received a call.

Custom counter top was NOT manufactured correctly as a result of not following customer supplied instructions. Did not ship with either necessary hardware or reference to what/where to buy said hardware. CHECK your design carefully against the CAD drawing Hardwood Lumber provides. Found errors that required correction.
