It came out really nice, I just wish they had added some stain on the bottom. It is stark light wood underneath. I didn’t expect it to be completely finished underneath but I thought there would be a light coat of stain at least.

We normally only finish one side of the counter top but if you do want both sides finished you will be able to select "High Grade Bottom Surface" and we can finish the bottom for you as well. I don't think I could have asked for a better butcher block top from anywhere else!!!!! Wow, so impressed with Hardwood Lumber and their customer service was beyond amazing. I have not yet received the products. Thevordering was easy and Julie was very helpful. The website is a real mess though. I can not access my order. The site says thT I have not ordered anything. The shipping site is just as bad. When I put in my tracking number it says it has no info. Overall, you have to fix these issues with info availability on the website. It is dreadful.

The initial online order was fine. But after a month when it didn’t arrive, I called and was told that it slipped through the cracks and then they mailed it. It arrived and was nothing as to what I had ordered for $140. It looked like a plank of wood I could have bought at Home depot.

Very fine wood, made just as ordered. However I cannot give a 5-star review because of the poor packing of your product made damage in the hands of FedEx all but inevitable. A single wrap of cardboard with NO reinforcement is inadequate for such heavy yet easily damaged product. Luckily our stair treads only suffered very minor damage to one corner, but the corner of the shipping box was shredded from handling during shipment and exposed the wood inside. Inserting pre-made corner reinforcements would have been a matter of seconds to install and prevented this problem. I can easily repair the tread myself, but shouldn't have to. Please do better, and thank you for listening.

We love our butcher block counter top! We ordered a large wine cooler for our kitchen and it came in 2 pieces and it looked unfinished. We found Hardwood Lumber Co online and ordered what we thought would finish off the 2 wine refrigerators into one nice piece of furniture. Customer service was top notch! I was a little worried about production times as it was clearly noted on their website that there could be a delay. We had friends coming into town and I really wanted it in time for them to see it...wanted, not NEEDED! Martha changed our shipping level and said we should have it on Saturday. We received it Sunday morning. My husband had it set up before I was out of bed and it looks FANTASTIC! Thank you so much for the great craftmanship and customer service. Much appreciated!
