3 out of 4 trees dead on arrival. They wouldn't replace them and made me wait, which I did and they never "came to life." Store credit is all they can offer with me having to pay shipping again for more trees. Don't use this company.

I purchased two kiwi plants in February which failed to thrive. They came packaged with this gel all over the roots which I had never heard of before with no instructions on what to do with it. Most of the instructions on your website seemed targeted towards trees so I had to spend quite some time googling to figure out if I'm supposed to remove the gel before I plant them or not. In the end it seemed to be that dipping roots in this stuff and then planting is recommended by the manufacturer of the gel, so I gently shook the big loose globs off and planted them. This is not deal-breaking on its own but is a stark contract from other nurseries I typically order from which put quite a lot of care into specific unpacking and planting instructions.

The kiwis were clearly dead within weeks, which can happen and isn't the end of the world, but one of the things which drew me to TyTy was the plant insurance policy so I contacted the plant insurance team who suggested adding nitrogen and waiting more weeks. I didn't expect this to work at all, and unsurprisingly it did not. It seemed like a completely unnecessary step which only delayed me in getting viable plants before the season was over. When I reached out again with this update that nothing had changed, they told me I had to wait until June before they could replace the plant. At this point it's clear I'm not getting these plants in place in time this season so I ordered replacements from another nursery.

Due to travel I didn't get back to your team until July to refund the plants at which point I got a store credit. I ordered more plants, and frustratingly there is no shipping total for orders less than about $30 without contacting for an estimate? I didn't want to wait for that so I just ordered $50 of plants and paid the $26 shipping. A few days later I got an email that these can't be shipped for regulatory reasons until 12-9-24. No clarity on the date format to determine whether this is September or December but either way it was laughably frustrating to me that this would not be very clearly disclosed on the order form before allowing me to order the plants. My expectation when I order anything online is that it will ship relatively quickly unless otherwise stated, as this has been my experience at the numerous other plant nurseries from which I have ordered. It was not remotely clear that these plants couldn't ship immediately, though I now see it is mentioned in unassuming standard text just above the "High quality plants for low prices" info box. It wasn't eye catching at all, wasn't mentioned in the shopping cart or at checkout. It's a simple problem which feels easily solvable with a better UI design, and this whole situation is very strongly feeling like a poorly implemented user experience overall.

The long story short is that I ordered in February but won't have actual viable plants (assuming these new ones do survive) until SEPTEMBER/DECEMBER due to the customer experience provided by this nursery. Due to all of this, I will not be ordering again and will advise friends shop elsewhere.

Well I ordered two sourwood trees. 4-5'. When there arrived I potted them up immediately, but they were totally dormant with no buds or signs of growth. After a few weeks it was apparent nothing was going to happen so i reached out for a refund, and was told the plants were still viable. Eventually one sprouted at the base, and on the lower part of the trunk but mostly dead. The other one never did anything. Eventually I got a refund but only for 1, and that is below the order threshold.
So no, I would not recommend tyty nursery.

Unresponsive customer care. This is my second year with mostly dead plants and will need to wait on a third.
Can't get my money back only can repurchase with this company and pay for dead plants to be shipped.
Lovely.

Very satisfied with my plants/tree. Had a few raspberry plants that didnt sprout. Emailed them about 2 months after they were planted. I received a quick response, and after emailing them pictures of the dead plants, I was given a store credit. I will continue to buy plants from TyTy!!!
