Spyderco Efficient (C216GP)
The Spyderco Efficient is a great first purchase Spyderco knife. It is not the Tenacious or any other knife in that family, if you are stuck on the popular Tenacious model for all its attributes, then you are not buying this knife. If you want a GREAT Little knife that offers all the Spyderco quality in a budget friendly package, the Efficient checks every box, in fact I like the ergonomics of the Efficient over the Tenacious, Alcyone and Delica, those are nice knives as well, but I much prefer the feel of the G10 handle and the shape of the Efficient's handle with the added finger choil, very comfortable and usable. The blade is slicey and strong for a 3 inch ish cutting edge. I have found a new appreciation for Spyderco since buying this knife, and my interest in other models has been sparked. Excellent knife, I have no regrets about my purchase or the customer service I received from the House Of Knives, a very satisfying experience. I highly recommend this knife.

(Black Tusk Hangdog in grey G10) Originally I found the knife to have good action and edge retention with the drawback of cutting geometry, but after about a year of miscellaneous (not very hard at all) use, one of my omega springs in the crossbar lock broke, which led to the other breaking spring as well. This made the knife useless as I was also unable to take the knife apart in an attempt to fix it because I was unable to back out the T6 screws.

Although Iām not usually a fan of front flippers, this blade is so satisfying to launch. For so such a large blade (over 4ā) it carries very light in the pocket. Great EDC piercing and slicing blade - used it from food prep, flattening cardboard, to getting some marshmallow sticks ready for the kids. Very happy with this purchase.

This is my second Kizer and Iām still impressed by how smoothly they open! The Assassin is a small knife, despite the name, but still has a weighty-chunky vibe that is reassuring in the hand without being too intrusive in the pocket.
My biggest caveat is the handleās micarta. It lacks the grippy texture expected from this material. Iām aware that micarta can considerably vary from one knife to another but my modelās handle is inexcusably smooth as glass.
